[Kirinyaga: 9th July 2026] Preparations for the CHANNAH Kirinyaga Edition have entered the final phase as excitement builds ahead of the training scheduled for 9th–11th September 2026.

The three-day training will bring together female clergy from Kirinyaga and neighboring counties for a time of learning, fellowship, mentorship, and leadership development at Tevah Lawns, Kagio, Kirinyaga County.

On 9th July 2026, the Daystar Leadership and Professional Development Institute (DLPDI) team, led by Rev. Dr. Patrick Musembi, Director of DLPDI, and Mrs. Jane Irungu, Deputy Director, met with the local organizing committee to officially commission the training.

The meeting marked a significant milestone in the planning process and reaffirmed the shared commitment to equipping female clergy to serve more effectively within their churches and communities.

The organizing committee has been instrumental in bringing the initiative to life. Working hand in hand with the DLPDI team, members coordinated key preparations, confirmed the training dates and venue, and developed a mobilization strategy aimed at reaching women clergy across the region. Their dedication and collaborative efforts have laid a strong foundation for what is expected to be a meaningful and impactful training.

CHANNAH is designed to strengthen female clergy through practical leadership training, mentorship, and peer learning. The programme seeks to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and the confidence needed to navigate the opportunities and challenges of ministry while enhancing their effectiveness as leaders within the Church. It also provides a valuable platform for women in ministry to connect, share experiences, and encourage one another in their personal calling.

During the meeting, the DLPDI leadership underscored the importance of investing in women church leaders, recognizing their vital role in shaping congregations, mentoring future generations, and advancing the mission of the Church. The leadership also commended the organizing committee for its commitment and hard work, noting that the success of the upcoming training is a testament to the power of partnership and shared vision.

With preparations now complete, the stage is set for the CHANNAH Kirinyaga Edition 2026. The training is expected to leave participants better equipped to lead with confidence, serve with excellence, and make an even greater impact in their churches, communities, and the Kingdom of God.
